The French are good at many things. Fashion, cheese, cigarettes, wine, cowardice. But above all these special skills, the French have always been great scientists.
Where would we be today if France had not produced great scientific minds like Pasteur, Becquerel, or the Curies?
Well today, it came to my attention that there is another great French scientist that deserves our full respect. His name is Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon. And what is his contribution to the French scientific tradition?
Professor Rouillon has found after a 15 year study that wearing bras makes boobs saggier.
Rouillon teaches at the Franche-Comté University in Besançon and was interviewed by France Info about the results of his study on boobs. Through observations dating back to 1997, Rouillon says that women who don’t wear bras have firmer, nicer boobs.
“Medically, physiologically, anatomically—the breast derives no benefit from being denied gravity. On the contrary, it becomes saggier with a bra.”
Rouillon, whose background is in sports medicine, studied 330 pairs of boobs belonging to women ages 18 to 35. The women who let their boobs swing free and easy saw their boobs get, “…lifted an average of seven millimeters per year in relation to the shoulders.”
One of the participants, a sexy 28 year old nicknamed “Capice” praised Rouillon for his work. She said, “I breathe more easily, I have better posture, and I have less back pain.”
Of course, Rouillon is quick to admit that this is only preliminary and that he will need at least 15 more years of close boob inspection before he can reach a proper conclusion:
“It all depends on the structure of each breast. An overweight, 45-year-old woman with three kids has no business not wearing a bra.”
Which means that only sexy babes with already incredible boobs should not wear a bra. Everyone else is doomed to have saggy boobs.
Now if only someone would scientifically prove that going topless had some amazing health benefits. Then we’d be talking.
